Perhaps the most widely known performer at this year’s Jacksonville Jazz Festival is Chaka Khan, but it’s hard to argue that she’s really jazz at all. Khan’s biggest hits were R&B dance numbers, she’s often referred to as the Queen of Funk and she’s in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
