Air Force Marathon to increase registration fee following Fourth of July holiday

If you aren’t registered to participate in the Air Force Marathon yet, it will cost more to do so next week. Participation marathon will see an increased cost for runners not registered by July 5.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base hosts the event annually in Dayton and welcomes all civilians or military to register. Participants can see the following for pricing changes after the cutoff date:

  • MARATHON; $105 - $115

  • HALF MARATHON; $95 - $105

  • 10K; $55 - $60

  • 5K; $40 - $45

  • TAILWIND TROT 1K KIDS’ RUN; $22 - $25

  • FLY! FIGHT! WIN! CHALLENGE SERIES (HALF MARATHON); $180 - $200

  • FLY! FIGHT! WIN! CHALLENGE SERIES (FULL MARATHON); $185 - $210

  • 3-PERSON MARATHON RELAY; $215 - $230

Military affiliated participants may receive $10 off the price of the full or half marathon, as well as the relay and Fly Fight Win Challenge Series. The 10k and 5k events will additionally offer $5 off for currently-serving military, veterans, retirees, and ROTC cadets.

The race is scheduled to begin on Sept. 17 and feature a variety events such as the Breakfast of Champions, Pasta Dinner, and virtual racing options. Volunteers may find more information via the marathon’s website at www.usafmarathon.com.
