Canadian wildfires continue to blow across Ohio reducing the air quality. The AQI in Summit County is moderate, registering at 92 as of 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued an air quality advisory for sensitive groups in Medina, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lorain, Summit, Portage and Lake counties.

Officials recommend the most sensitive populations including children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties limit outdoor activities.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission uses the national Air Quality Index scale, which runs from 0 to 500, to measure ozone and particle pollution. When levels reach above 100, air quality is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups, and an air quality alert is issued.
