Air Supply will bring its 2022 tour to the Peoria Civic Center Theater at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 10. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for this rescheduled date. Additional tickets are still available and can be purchased at peoriaciviccenter.com.

Tons of turkey in Tremont

The annual Tremont Turkey Festival will be held this weekend in downtown Tremont. The festival will begin the evening of Thursday, June 9, and run through the afternoon of Sunday, June 12. Shop and stroll on Moss Avenue

Peoria's annual Moss Avenue Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11, between University Street and Western Avenue. Stroll the historic neighborhood and shop among more than 100 vendors, featuring antiques, primitives, restored furniture, yard decor, collectibles, handcrafted goods, live music and street food. Moss Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the sale, but parking is available on neighborhood streets and around the Bradley University campus.

Celebrate summer German-style

Peoria Sport Verein’s annual Sommerfest will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Hickory Grove Park,12403 Hickory Grove Road, Dunlap. This event features German food, soccer, a German car and bike cruise-in, arts and crafts and entertainment. This is a family-friendly event. Admission is free. Games and drinks at PlayHouse

Most facilities run by the Peoria Park District, like the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum in Glen Oak Park, are reopening now that the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided. But the Gwynn Aquatic Center and the Glen Oak Park amphitheater are remaining closed.

The Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum is celebrating its seventh birthday with HopScotch 2022, an adults-only event filled with games of chance, spirits and just plain fun. This event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the PlayHouse, located at 2218 N. Prospect Road. The evening will include local vendors serving beer, wine and whiskey-based cocktails, heavy appetizers provided by Two25 and music by Dexter O'Neal and the Funk Yard. Tickets are $80 each and are available at www.peoriaplayhouse.org.
