Forget former Fixer Upper houses and castles on tropical islands-a new category of popular Airbnbs offers once in a lifetime stays in crazy structures like potatoes, magic treehouse castles, and now, a renovated train car that was used in a world war.

Platform 1346 is a World War II troop kitchen train car that was turned into a luxury dream Airbnb for history buffs. It's located at the base of the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Maryville, Tennessee, a little over a half hour away from Knoxville.

"I had placed Platform 1346 on my wish list and was hoping to visit one day," one Airbnb reviewer wrote. "This place is the most amazing Airbnb I have rented and definitely my favorite... The moment you walk into this train car your mouth drops open."

For those looking to learn a little bit more about the backstory of your rental, Airbnb host Dean will teach you everything there is to know about the train car's history and its restoration-photos are also available so you can truly see the magic of the WWII vehicle.

Platform 1346 is completely hidden from all streets and the surrounding neighbors so if privacy is one of your main boxes to check on vacation, look no further. It can sleep up to four people comfortably on two queen-sized beds, and one full bathroom is aboard the train. The Airbnb rental sits on six acres of property for you to explore, and includes a tranquil fish pond and fire pit for you to enjoy during your stay.

BONUS: The Airbnb hosts have a pack of six very sweet dogs that will be running around the property from time to time-what better way to wake up than with some wet doggy kisses?
