Aircraft Drops Retardant on Washington State Fire

The Colockum Fire, near Malaga, Washington, was 90 percent contained by the evening of July 27, KHQ said.

Video from a Valley Regional Fire Authority crew member shows a plane dropping retardant to limit the fire’s spread.

The South Washington Interagency Incident Management Team said the fire had burned more than 3,300 acres and had threatened more than 200 homes at one point. However, no primary residences were lost. Credit: Valley Regional Fire Authority via Storyful
