Airlines issue travel waivers as winter storm pushes northeast. Which cities are covered?

Travelers heading to the airport Wednesday will want to triple-check their flight status and consider rebooking as a winter storm that's dumped snow across the Midwest barrels northeast. The storm has prompted winter storm warnings and advisories from Missouri all the way to Maine.

More than 3,000 U.S. flights were delayed and more than 600 flights were canceled as of 3:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware.

All airlines are required by the Department of Transportation to offer full refunds when a flight is canceled for any reason, but every major airline is also offering travel waivers for select cities, due to the storm.
