University of Akron Mitch Budler didn't have to do much in a 0-0 Mid-American Conference tie with Bowling Green.

This one might be a little frustrating for the University of Akron men's soccer team.

Bowling Green played a spirited second half but the Zips dominated play and settled for a 0-0 Mid-American Conference tie at home.

UA produced more shots on goal (3-1), shots (12-2) and corner kicks (9-1) than Bowling Green (3-4-5, 1-1-2),

The 20th-ranked Zips (8-2-4, 3-0-2 in the MAC) remained unbeaten at home at 5-0-2, but probably are a little irked at their second tie with the Falcons in 11 days.

The second half produced late shots on goal by UA's Jonas Buechte with 4:15 left and another by Ryan Kingsford with 2:46 remaining, but Bowling Green goalkeeper Brendan Graves made both stops.

The first half was all Zips.

UA dominated first-half action with seven shots – one on goal – and held the Falcons without so much as even a shot near the net.

UA's best shot came at 10:39 when Johnny Fitzgerald put a shot into the left corner. Joey Akpunonu was able to head it away from net.
