The Ohio Attorney General's Office announced Monday the eight officers would not be indicted in the case.

"We are putting plans in place to help ensure the safety of our scholars and staff as we anticipate a decision," an email to parents from Interim Superintendent Mary Outley said just before the grand jury announcement.

All after-school activities will also be canceled Tuesday.

Transportation will run as normal Monday but if preferred, parents may pick their children up early, the email said.

"We will continue to inform families of any updates as they become available," Outley said.

A special school board meeting Monday night is expected to continue as planned, school board President Derrick Hall said. The board is expected to interview superintendent search firms.
