Akron's Ellet Branch Library will be closed for a month for maintenance

The Ellet Branch Library of the Akron-Summit County Public Library system will be closed for a month for maintenance.

The library, at 2470 E. Market St., including its book drops, will be closed for an underground utility project from Feb. 13 to March 13, although the library said the date may be extended or changed without notice.

The library said that it will adjust due dates for library items that are checked out. During the closure, library customers can visit and return materials to other nearby Akron-Summit County Public Library locations, including Springfield-Lakemore (1500 Canton Road, Suite 360), Mogadore (144 S. Cleveland Ave.), Goodyear (60 Goodyear Blvd.) and Tallmadge (90 Community Road).

Library cardholders can access the library’s digital collection remotely through hoopla, Kanopy, Libby and other resources.
