Acting icon Al Pacino, at age 83, and girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 29, welcomed his fourth child, a son, to the world, his camp said Thursday.

A representative for Pacino issued a brief statement about the birth but did not include any other details, such as the newborn's length and weight or where the boy was born.

"I am confirming that Al Pacino and Noor Alfallah have welcomed a son, named Roman Pacino," Pacino's spokesman said. "No other statement or comments will be provided."

Pacino, the star of "The Godfather" and “Scent of a Woman,” already had three other children: daughter Julie Marie, 33, and 22-year-old twins Anton and Olivia.

Doctors and medical ethicists had raised concerns about Pacino's fathering children at such an advanced age.

CORRECTION (June 15, 2023, 11:55 p.m. ET): A previous version of this article misspelled the mother’s last name. She is Noor Alfallah, not Alfalla.
