With a record of 29-25, 12-17 in SEC play, Alabama baseball has an interesting resume heading into postseason play.

With wins over Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Arkansas, the Crimson Tide has played up to its potential at various points this season, but will that be enough to get Alabama into the NCAA Tournament?

"I don't look at that stuff in depth, but I know the track record of being 12-17 in the league and getting in the tournament, the numbers aren't great," said Alabama coach Brad Bohannon.

Alabama is coming off a 2-1 home series victory over then-No. 5 Arkansas, giving it a spot in this week's SEC Tournament in Hoover.

For the past three weeks, Bohannon has said his team should treat every game as if it is the most important yet.

"We are going in with the mindset that our season is over if we do not win on Tuesday, whether that is accurate or not," Bohannon said. "We need to have a good week and a long week."

While Alabama is battle-tested , it must string together good results in an event with five teams ranked in the top 25.

"We have just got to get some more wins against good teams," Bohannon said. "At this point, it kind of becomes a math equation; We need more wins against good teams, and luckily from an RPI standpoint, everyone that is in the SEC Tournament has a really good RPI, so we need to win two to three games minimum to extend our season."

"We just got to go out and win, we got to go out and win some games," Bohannon said.

Alabama, the No. 11 seed, opens the event at 9:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday against No. 6 seed Georgia. The winner will play third-seeded Arkansas at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. All games are at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
