Alabama basketball score vs No. 1 North Carolina: Live updates from Phil Knight Invitational

Alabama basketball will look to beat the No. 1 team in the country in the Crimson TIde's final game during a trip to Portland, Oregon, while competing in the Phil Knight Invitational.

The No. 18 Crimson Tide (5-1) is in an eight-team field with No. 1 North Carolina, 15 Michigan State, No. 22 UConn, Oregon, Villanova, Iowa State and Portland.

Alabama's first matchup resulted in an 81-70 victory over the Spartans on Thursday. Then, the Crimson Tide lost 82-67 to UConn on Friday. Next up, the Crimson Tide faces the Tarheels (5-1) on Sunday in the third-place game. North Carolina lost Friday, too, to unranked Iowa State.

Alabama entered the tournament fresh off a big 104-62 victory over Jacksonville State in which the Crimson Tide found success hitting 3-pointers. The Crimson Tide shot 21 of 46 from beyond the arc in that matchup.
