Alabama basketball score vs. South Alabama: Live updates from Mitchell Center

Alabama basketball aims to score a third consecutive victory to start the season on Tuesday. Next up is a matchup vs. South Alabama.

The No. 16 Crimson Tide (2-0) will face its first road test with the trip to Mobile. Alabama has wins over Longwood and Liberty to start the season.

The Jaguars (1-1) are looking to bounce back after a loss to New Mexico this past week. South Alabama lost on that trip to Albuquerque, 80-74.

Meanwhile, Alabama is fresh off an impressive 95-59 victory over the Flames. The Crimson Tide got its three-point shooting back on track in that game as it went 10-for-22 from beyond the arc. Alabama will look to continue that success against South Alabama.

Freshman Brandon Miller scored double-digit points in both of his first two games for the Crimson Tide. Against Liberty, he had 20 points to go with eight rebounds. He had a double-double in his collegiate debut against Longwood.

The three-point shooting improved, but Alabama still needs to limit turnovers. It had 15 against Liberty and Nate Oats has stressed the need for his team to minimize those going forward.

After the South Alabama game, the Crimson Tide will return home to play a game against Jacksonville State on Friday at 8 p.m.
