Alabama basketball score vs. South Dakota State: Live updates from Coleman Coliseum
Alabama basketball is looking to score a victory over South Dakota State.
The Crimson Tide hasn't played since it took down then-No. 1 UNC in four overtimes in the Phil Knight Invitational this past Sunday. Alabama coach Nate Oats said Friday he views this matchup with the Jackrabbits as a maturity game.
Big wins aren't new to the Crimson Tide (6-1). It had some just last season. But Alabama often had some lows to match the highs.
"After a four-overtime win, you could have a letdown game. A mature group, mature players, are going to be ready to go every day," Oats said. "You only get a limited number of games in college basketball. We're seven games in. We're guaranteed 32 games. That's it. We're almost 25% of the way through the season. We don't have games to just throw away. This game Saturday, it's a big game as far as to see who can be mature and play well."
The Jackrabbits will be fresh off a road game against Kent State on Friday at 6 p.m. in Ohio. South Dakota State entered the game Friday at 3-4 on the season.
