Alabama Crimson Tide basketball vs. Mississippi State: Live updates, score

The matchup against Mississippi State isn't a must-win for Alabama men's basketball, but the Crimson Tide could certainly use a win.

Alabama has lost three of its last five, two of which have come in SEC play the past two games against Auburn and Missouri.

The Crimson Tide (11-5, 2-2 SEC) need to get SEC wins where it can, considering the slate that approaches.

After the matchup against the Bulldogs at 5 p.m. on Saturday in Starkville, Alabama will face No. 12 LSU, Missouri, Georgia, No. 1 Baylor, No. 4 Auburn and No. 17 Kentucky within the next few weeks.

A win against Mississippi State (11-4, 2-1) could go a long way in helping create momentum for Alabama over that stretch.
