Alabama football flips Texas commit Jamarion Miller, four-star RB

Two months ago, Texas came into Alabama and landed a four-star recruit. Alabama football has flipped the script and left "The Lone Star State" with a top prospect.

Class of 2022 running back Jamarion Miller announced that he decommitted from Texas and committed to Alabama on Thanksgiving. Miller, the nation's No. 102 recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite, is Alabama's 20th known commit and second running back.

The Tyler Legacy High four-star recruit had been committed to Texas and coach Steve Sarkisan, Alabama's offensive coordinator in 2020, since June. He took an official visit to Alabama in October and flipped his pledge a month later.

Miller is Alabama's second commit of November, following Canadian native Isaiah Hastings. He is an evasive, tough runner and sometimes lined up at receiver on film.

Alabama cornerback coach Jay Valai is listed as Miller's primary recruiter. The Crimson Tide have the No. 2 recruiting class, trailing only Georgia, which has 23 commits.

Sarkisan and Texas landed Alabama native and Hewitt-Trussville High defensive lineman Justice Finkley over Alabama in September.
