Alabama football lands Dontrell Glover, second 2025 OT commit from Georgia

Alabama football has landed its second Class of 2025 commit in as many weeks.

Georgia offensive tackle Dontrell Glover, 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, committed to the Crimson Tide on Thursday over Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, LSU and more.

Glover, from Fairburn, Ga., in the southwest Atlanta suburbs, brings Alabama to three commits and the No. 2 Class of 2025 in the nation, per the 247Composite.

Alabama landed another Georgia offensive tackle, four-star Mason Short, on April 2. Short, 6-5 and 305 pounds, is the No. 70 recruit in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite.

Glover was offered by Alabama in December. He doesn't yet have a composite ranking, but Rivals lists him as a four-star.

He helped Langston Hughes win the Georgia 6A state championship in 2022, the first in school history. Alabama was in the running for Glover's teammate, 2024 top-80 quarterback Air Nowland, who chose Ohio State on April 8.

The Crimson Tide also have offered Langston Hughes' 2024 four-star safety Jakob Gude, who visited Alabama for the second time on the first weekend of April.
