Alabama football postseason projections: Where will Crimson Tide land in final College Football Playoff ranking?

Alabama football's 41-24 victory over Georgia all but locked up a College Football Playoff spot for the Crimson Tide.

The questions that remain: What seed will Alabama get? Whom will the Crimson Tide play? And where will Alabama play?

The CFP field will be announced at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday on ESPN.

The four teams seem fairly easy to predict. It should be Alabama, Michigan, Georgia and Cincinnati, but not necessarily in that order. At this point, a matchup with Georgia seems unlikely for Alabama, no matter where the two are seeded. An immediate re-match doesn't make much sense.

So, there are a few combinations available for the Crimson Tide not to face Georgia. Alabama could receive the top seed, and then it would not matter if Georgia was No. 2 or No. 3. Or, if Alabama is No. 2, Georgia would have to be No. 4. Then Michigan would likely be No. 1 and Cincinnati No. 3.

But the order of No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Cincinnati appears to be the most likely result when the field is announced Sunday.

CBS projects exactly that, with the Crimson Tide heading to the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31 in Arlington, Texas.
