Alabama football aims to score a bounce-back victory over Ole Miss on Saturday in Oxford, Mississippi.

The Crimson Tide is looking to stop the bleeding after a rare second loss this past week against LSU. Alabama hasn't lost two regular-season games before the Iron Bowl since 2010. That season, the Crimson Tide didn't lose its third game until the matchup with Auburn.

If No. 9 Alabama (7-2, 4-2 SEC) were to lose to No. 11 Ole Miss (8-1, 4-1) this year, it would mark the first time since Nick Saban's first season in 2007 the Crimson Tide would have lost three games before the Iron Bowl.

Lane Kiffin is looking to get his first victory against his former boss. Kiffin's first two tries since taking over the Rebels in 2020 have been unsuccessful.

"We have a lot of respect for Ole Miss," Saban said Wednesday. "We understand the challenge that we have this Saturday in Oxford. They've got a lot of good players, they're well-coached, there's challenging schemes on both sides of the ball, so we're doing the best we can to get our players ready and confident to be able to play with confidence when the game comes."
