Alabama football is back on FOX for the first time since the 2009 Sugar Bowl.

The Crimson Tide will travel to Austin, Texas, to face former offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns on Sept. 10, and FOX announced Monday that the network would televise the game.

No game time has been announced. FOX often puts its best game of the week at Noon ET (11 a.m. CT) and promote it as the "Big Noon Kickoff" game, but a game between two of the biggest brands in the sport could just as easily be a primetime evening matchup.

Either way, expect FOX's No. 1 college football announcing team, consisting of Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft, to be on the call in September.

September's game between the Crimson Tide and Longhorns will not be the last matchup between the two teams. The two will play again on Sept. 9, 2023, in Tuscaloosa. Texas will also join the SEC no later than the 2025 season, alongside Oklahoma.

The Longhorns had a 5-7 record in their first year under Sarkisian, the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator from 2019-20. Texas' 2022 roster will be boosted by the transfer portal, including former Ohio State quarterback Quinn Ewers and former Alabama receiver Agiye Hall and tight end Jahleel Billingsley.
