Alabama high school football scores, live updates from Week 5 in Tuscaloosa area
The 2022 Alabama high school football season continues with Week 5 with a handful of big region games.
The top four finishers in each region qualify for the AHSAA playoffs. The first round of the AHSAA playoffs is Nov. 4. The Super 7 state championships are in Auburn Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
Several programs switched classes, and Tuscaloosa Academy joined the AHSAA. Holy Spirit fields its first varsity team since 2018, and University Charter has its first varsity season in school history. New rivalries were made and some old ones return.
