Alabama reserve punter Ty Perine has entered the transfer portal
You could almost field an entire team with former Alabama players that are now in the transfer portal. Now Crimson Tide reserve punter Ty Perine has officially entered his name into the portal as well.
The Prattville, Alabama native first arrived in Tuscaloosa as a walk-on in 2019. He eventually earned a spot as the starting punter and averaged 44.7 yards per punt on 13 attempts. Perine’s production earned him Freshman All-SEC selection by the league coaches. Perine would not see any action in either the 2020 or 2021 seasons.
Perine announced his entry into the NCAA transfer portal on his Twitter account on Tuesday. Perine will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Thank you God for the opportunities you have placed before me & for the ones you haven’t. I will be graduating in May & looking to start a new athletic & academic career else where. With 3 years of eligibility remaining, I have officially entered the transfer portal !
