Alabama softball score vs. Tennessee: Live updates for Crimson Tide-Lady Vols

Alabama softball is looking to score its first SEC series win of the season when it travels to Tennessee in its first road series of conference play.

The Crimson Tide (23-8, 1-2 SEC) is coming off a series loss to Arkansas, after winning the first game. Montana Fouts bookended the series, pitching all 10 innings of Monday's loss after going seven innings on Saturday. Alabama scored six runs while allowing seven runs across the three games.

Alabama beat UAB in a midweek 12-0 in five innings, with the offense scoring nine runs in the second inning, taking advantage of bases-loaded opportunities. The first four batters in the lineup combined to go 9-for-11 at the plate.

The Lady Vols (24-1, 6-0) are coming off a sweep of LSU last weekend during which they allowed two runs, both in the Sunday win. Tennessee leads the nation with a 0.62 staff ERA, only allowing 14 earned runs and 15 total in 157 innings. Tennessee pitchers have four of the top five ERAs in the SEC, led by Ashley Rogers (0.40 ERA).
