Alabama softball's Montana Fouts threw a perfect game against Longwood on Sunday at Rhoads Stadium.

Fouts did it with 14 strikeouts and only throwing 73 pitches in the 8-0 six-inning win for the Crimson Tide.

The feat came in her second start against Longwood in the Crimson Classic. Fouts threw seven scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts while allowing three hits against Longwood on Saturday. Jaala Torrence threw a no-hitter against Robert Morris on Saturday in the twinbill.

It is the third perfect game of Fouts' career and the eighth in Alabama program history. Her first came in a combined effort versus Alabama State in 2021 with her second coming against UCLA the same season in the Women's College World Series on her birthday.

Fouts has made 12 appearances coming into Sunday's game, with an 8-1 record. She has pitched 56 innings with 93 strikeouts while allowing 35 hits and 15 runs. She holds an ERA of 1.88.

Fouts is a fifth-year senior from Grayson, Kentucky. She is a three-time All-American, earning first-team honors in 2021. She has earned All-SEC First-Team honors three times in her career. She has a career ERA of 1.73 with 951 strikeouts, sixth in Crimson Tide history behind Jaclyn Traina. In high school, Fouts was a three-time Kentucky Gatorade player of the year and threw 15 perfect games and 25 no-hitters, and holds the Kentucky ERA record of 0.16.
