Pac-12 football Week 2 picks, predictions:

Sports Chat Place: Take UCLA to rout Alabama State

It writes: "I’m likely going to stick with UCLA but I’m not going near it. The line is probably too thick to mess with. The Bruins were quite impressive on both sides of the ball versus Bowling Green, notching 626 total yards, 30 first downs, 6.8 yards per play and a 12-of-22 run on third- and fourth-down tries. UCLA has a couple of things to clean up however, namely the nine penalties and two turnovers.  As for Alabama State, they’re sitting at a shaky 2-0 (if there is such a thing) and didn’t exactly overpower Miles in their last outing. I don’t expect the Hornets to stay in range for long here."

Picks and Parlays: UCLA 56, Alabama State 6

It writes: "An HBCU playing UCLA in the Rose Bowl is a great story, but don’t expect this to be much of a contest. The Bruins defense should have little trouble stopping the Hornets offense, especially if the Hornets fail to hang on to the ball. Alabama State committed six turnovers, including five fumbles, against Miles."

Sports Illustrated: UCLA will have no problems with Alabama State

Sam Connon writes: "Before this season, UCLA had never scheduled a game against a non-FBS opponent. They broke that streak by adding Alabama State to the slate when Michigan backed out, bringing in an FCS HBCU that hasn't had a winning season since 2015. As a result, the Bruins built in another easy win for themselves."
