Ranking Bryce Young's ridiculous awards haul since becoming Alabama football's starting QB

Alabama football players swept the two individual 2021 SEC player of the year awards from the conference and the Associated Press.

Bryce Young was named 2021 AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year and Will Anderson was named 2021 AP SEC Defensive Player of the Year by a media voting panel, the AP announced Wednesday.

The SEC announced later Wednesday that Young won SEC Offensive Player of the Year and Anderson won SEC Defensive Player of the Year in a poll of the league's coaches.

Young, a Heisman Trophy finalist and betting favorite to win the award, is coming off his best performance of the season, a 421-yard, three-touchdown dominance of Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. He has totaled 4,322 passing yards and 43 touchdowns on the season.

Anderson leads the nation in sacks with 15.5 and tackles for a loss with 27.5. The sophomore from Hampton, Georgia, has recorded a sack in nine of the last 10 games.

Georgia's Kirby Smart was named SEC Coach of the Year by AP, and Georgia's Brock Bowers won the Newcomer of the Year award.
