Alamogordo Police investigating YouTube video allegedly showing Alamogordo Public Schools employee attempting to meet teenager

Alamogordo Police Department Deputy Chief of Police David Kunihiro said the department had opened an investigation into a video posted to YouTube which allegedly shows an Alamogordo Public Schools employee attempting to meet a teenager.

Alamogordo Public Schools said, in a March 11 news release, it had reported the video to police.

"The employee is not at work and Alamogordo Public Schools is cooperating the with police department," read a statement shared by the District via Facebook on March 11.

That employee's name was not released to the media and has not been charged with any crime.

The District had also sent a letter to parents informing them of the incident.

Officials with the police department asked anyone with information about thes incident to call 575-439-4325.

The video was posted to Alamogordo Pred Catchers, a public YouTube channel. The Alamogordo Daily News was unable to confirm who filmed the video or the legitimacy of the video as of Friday afternoon.
