Alanson library to host presentation on Bath School disaster

ALANSON — The Alanson Area Public Library will host a presentation on the Bath School disaster at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 in the Community Room.

The speaker will be George Robson, the son of two of the students who survived the disaster. His mother was a sophomore and his father was the senior class president. Robson has researched the history of the incident extensively and will present a photographic remembrance and history of this event.

The disaster, which took place at a school in Bath Township, killed 38 elementary school-aged children and six adults, while 58 others were injured.

No fee or registration is required to attend.
