Easter Sunday is just a few days away. Do you have everything you need?

For many in Idaho, Easter Sunday means dressing up in your finest outfits for pictures, attending a morning church service and then heading out for a big meal. Some will pack local restaurants, but many others will have traditional home-cooked meals.

Whether you are making the meal yourself or bringing food to a grandparent’s home, or perhaps a church potluck, the hustle and bustle of the week can make you forget that one key ingredient or necessary side. And that means a quick trip to a grocery store.

However, not all grocery stores will have regular hours on Easter Sunday. Here’s the scoop on the big chains.

Albertsons

Albertsons will be open and operate normal hours on Sunday, a company spokesperson told the Idaho Statesman. You can check hours for your local Albertsons at local.albertsons.com/index.

Fred Meyer

Fred Meyer will have regular hours on Easter, a company spokesperson said, but the pharmacy will be closed all day. You can check hours at your local Fred Meyer at https://www.fredmeyer.com/stores/grocery/id.

WinCo

Late-night shoppers and last-minute planners rejoice. WinCo will remain on its regular 24-hour-a-day schedule throughout the Easter weekend.

Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s will open at its usual time of 8 a.m. on Sunday, but the grocery store will close at 5 p.m., a company spokesperson said. Typically the store is open until 9 p.m.

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods stores in Idaho will be open Sunday. However, hours may be limited and will vary by location, a company spokesman said. He recommended that customers visit wholefoodsmarket.com/stores and select their neighborhood store for updates.

Target

Whether you have a Target with a large grocery store section or a small one, the result will be the same come Easter Sunday: closed.

“Guests can expect regular store hours on April 10 and can check Target.com or the Target app for local store information,” a Target spokesperson said.

Walmart

Walmart stores have historically remained open on Easter Sunday and should do so again this year. However, regular hours can vary between stores, so you should check your Walmart’s hours before shopping.
