Alden Richards: Chemistry comes naturally with Kathryn Bernardo

15 Jul – Alden Richards recently attributed his chemistry with leading lady Kathryn Bernardo to the latter's friendly attitude.

As reported on Rappler, the actor, who appeared at the press conference of their new movie, "Hello, Love, Goodbye" recently, shared that Bernardo has been very warm towards him since day one of their collaboration.

"When we met at the story conference, there's more to that. She's very nice and sweet. I didn't have a hard time warming up to her. She made me want to be nice to her," he said.

Richards stated that nobody needed to force the friendship out of them, and that everything developed naturally.

"The people around us let us build the friendship on our own, especially director Cathy [Garcia-Molina]," he added.

On the other hand, Bernardo revealed that she and Richards immersed themselves in the lives of OFW in Hong Kong prior to filming so that they could understand these workers better.

"On our first night, we went to bar and worked as a waitress and a bartender. It helped us warm up for our scenes," she said, adding that it has made her learn to appreciate overseas Filipino workers even more.

"Hello, Love, Goodbye" opens in cinemas on 31 July.
