As the sun starts shining and the nation can now host six-person garden soirées, Aldi has delivered even more good news by announcing it will be restocking its sell-out hanging egg chair again this weekend.

Back due to huge demand, the chair has become somewhat of a cult classic, counting cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon as fans, both of whom have shared images on social media of similar styles in their homes.

It is one of Aldi’s bestselling Specialbuys, with the store reporting record sales every time it comes back in stock.

But, its popularity should come as no surprise considering the gorgeous rattan egg chair’s bargain price.

Costing just £149.99, the Aldi egg chair is less than half the price of similar versions being sold at John Lewis & Partners and Wayfair, which could set you back up to £600.

Saving you a trip to the supermarket, Aldi’s egg chair is available online only from 8am on Sunday 11 April. Based on previous restocks and the persistent buzz surrounding the cult buy, it is likely that the egg chair is going to sell out quickly, so you’ll need to act fast if you want to get your hands on one.

Can you pre-order Aldi’s hanging egg chair?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The chair is part of the supermarkets Special Buys range, so only a limited number of them will be available this weekend. So, make sure you set your alarm.

Luckily for you, we’ve reviewed the coveted piece of furniture to help you decide if it’s worth virtually queuing up for. Ahead of the re-stock, here’s everything you need to know.

You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections. This revenue helps us to fund journalism across The Independent.

Perfect for anyone wanting to give their garden a stylish upgrade for outdoor gatherings, this grey rattan chair is suspended from a powder-coated iron frame via a sturdy-looking chain. As the chair is detachable from the frame, we think it’ll be easy to move around the garden, so you can chase the sun during the day or find a shaded corner in which to read a book.

Owing to its popularity and cheap price, it’s a constant sell-out. But, does it live up to the hype though? We think so. Selected as the best hanging egg chairs in our tried and tested review, our writer noted that while “attractively affordable,” it “doesn’t scrimp on quality, making it a hugely popular patio piece.”

“Made from a polythene flat wicker with a criss-cross weave, it looks and feels like an authentic rattan number – and much more expensive than it is,” our tester added.

The chair also comes with a set of dark grey cushions, including one designed specifically for your head to provide maximum comfort, which “further adds to its cosy appeal.”

A must-have piece of garden furniture, so mark the date in your calendar now and set an alarm for 8am on Sunday.
