Aldi Is Selling Irish Cheeses Including Cheddar With Irish Whiskey
Charcuterie board mania has seen almost every holiday over the past year, and we’ll soon be able to embrace it for St. Patrick’s Day. Aldi, unsurprisingly, has the hookup with everything you need to craft an impressive green and gold spread—from cheddar cheese with Irish whiskey to pesto gouda.
The retailer is currently selling six Irish cheeses you'll want to not-so-subtly stuff your face with. From Emporium Selection, there are three wax-coated cheeses: Aged Irish Cheddar, Irish Cheddar with Irish Whiskey, and Irish Cheddar with Irish Beer. Each cheese clocks in at 120 calories or under (though, who’s counting??). Also from Emporium Selection are Sage Derby, which is a mild cheese with sage, and Irish Porter, which is a cheddar cheese with porter ale. You can use those marbled cheeses to make cubes. Oh, but there’s more! From Happy Farms, you can buy Pesto Gouda. It’s a bright green gouda cheese with basil and garlic.
Each cheese costs about $4. It seems fair to each cheese that you buy and taste-test every one, no? That’ll cost you $24 then. IMO, that’s worth it for the St. Paddy’s day charcuterie board vibes. Plus, it's a fun activity to do at home, and who doesn't need more ideas for what to do at home these days? You could even expand the tasting to beers or Irish drinks. That sounds like a good way to spend the holiday!
