Aldi, Target, Walmart and More Are Closed on Christmas Day
The days leading up to Christmas are some of the busiest shopping days of the year. Consider it an actual Christmas miracle if you didn't get stuck at least once this holiday season on a never-ending line of customers juggling far many items to count while Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" plays in the background.
Yep, people are out there buying those Williams-Sonoma Star Wars Instant Pots, and ordering trendy "smells like Saturday" day-drinking candles for their loved ones right as we speak, and they're rushing to do it, too. Because as expected, most stores will cut customers off a few hours early come December 24, and we'll be unable to shop again until the day after Christmas, at which point it's probably too late for your loved ones.
This year is no different. If you were thinking of picking up a few simple items on Christmas morning (or you forgot something and need to run out), you can check out our list of stores that are open on Christmas Day. But other than that, try and put those wallets down and enjoy the special day. Here are the grocery and retails stores, as well as a few restaurants, that will not be open on Christmas Day in 2019.
