Alesha Dixon has confirmed the arrival of her second daughter with husband Azuka Ononye in an Instagram post, after giving birth seven weeks ago.

In light of Dixon celebrating her own 41st birthday today, the Britain's Got Talent judge shared a snap of the infant taken shortly after the birth and revealed her name.

"Anaya Safiya born 20.08.19 7 weeks ago this little angel came into our lives! As I celebrate my birthday today I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet," the singer wrote.

Dixon and Ononye already have a six-year-old daughter, Azura Sienna.

Dixon appeared on television screens at the weekend as the pre-recorded Britain's Got Talent: The Champions final aired on Saturday.

As Dixon was pregnant at the time of filming, viewers saw the star and her bump draped in a striking see-through gown.

Dance act Twist and Pulse were crowned the winners of the all-stars series, beating other Britain's Got Talent legends, including Stavros Flatley, to the title.

Stavros Flatley, the dancing duo made up of father-and-son team Demi Demetriou, 51, and Lagi Demetriou, 23, appeared in an Instagram video at the weekend to make light of rumours that the final would be their last performance together.

It comes after The Sun's report that the younger Demetriou wished to concentrate on his career as a barber.

The video saw the elder Demetriou refusing to leave the loo unless his son confirmed they wouldn't be splitting before the young man reassured his father: "We're not splitting up, man."

They also confirmed in the caption: “We’re not splitting up ! #stavrosflatley #bgt #britainsgottalent #notsplittingup Don’t believe everything you read in the papers we all learnt that already.”
