Alexander McQueen’s “Story” Bag Is Kaia Gerber and Selena Gomez’s New Fave

Meet Alexander McQueen’s "Story" bag — a feminine, vintage-inspired handbag that officially debuts on December 4. Arriving just in time for the holidays, the “Story” is the first of three brand new handbags lines for the beloved British brand. In a press release, McQueen shared that the bag was inspired by the "sharing of narratives... which has long been at the heart of the house of Alexander McQueen."

The “Story” may be (relatively) small but it's definitely multifunctional. You can carry it as a clutch via its "jewelry-inspired" handle, the top handle, or wear it on your shoulder or across your body. The bag is part of McQueen's Spring/Summer 2020 pre-collection and complements the ready-to-wear collection in colors like black, khaki, white, orchid pink, and lust red. And if you feel the classic style is a bit too small, we have good news because the bag is also available in a "Tall" version.

Kaia's been spotted rocking the bag a few times. She toted the kakhi version out and about in the city — even wearing it on a scooter ride. She paired it with an oversized blazer, black pants, and a pair of Converse chucks. She also took it along to an event, where she wore it with a loose grey blazer, white tee, and jeans: simple perfection.

Selena has also sported the black version around. The "Lose You to Love Me" singer decided to pair it with a grey plaid suit and a bright red lip that matched the bag's contrasting piping.

The Story is classic and timeless enough to look right at home with a super dressy 'fit or a more casual ensemble — it would be perfectly at home on the arm of a '50s movie star at a glitzy premiere and looks just as modern and stylish today.

Kaia and Selena aren't the only celebs who are fans of the new Story bag. It's also been seen on fashion icons like supermodel Naomi Campbell and models Soo Joo Park, Liya Kebede, and Liu Wen, which we're taking that as a major endorsement!
