Little Homesteaders Small Business Fair
Kids run their own vendor stands. Open to children ages 5-17. Have an idea for a small business? Now is the time to put the idea to good use. Any idea, such as selling handmade goods, garden produce, starting seedlings, either vegetable or flowers, networking babysitting, lawn mowing or house washing, etc.
Small Business Fair will be Saturday, May 13, at the Alhambra Township Park, Illinois 140, in the Firemen Legion Building. Contact Ashley at LHbusinessfair@gmail.com.
Salem Church Rummage Sale
Salem Church, 1117 W. North St., will have a Rummage Sale during the Village Yard Sales on Thursday, April 27; Friday, April 28; and Saturday, April 29. “Fill a Bag for $5” is the theme of the sale. Food will be available for purchase including, brats, hotdogs, chips soda, water and bake sale items. Restrooms on site. Proceeds will go toward Salem’s future Ecuador mission trips.
Items for donation may be brought to Parish Hall after Monday, April 17. Not accepting furniture.
Village Yard Sales
Village wide yard sales will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, April 27; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 28; and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29.
For people who want their addresses and small description of items for sale put on the map, email information to fbcoffice@gmail.com or text/call Cathy Adolph at 618-401-5911. Maps will be available after 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at First Baptist Church, 209 W. Main, Alhambra.
Big Trash Pickup
Big trash pick up is scheduled for Thursday, May 4. Items that will not be pick up include tires, yard waste, batteries, concrete, TV’s or electronics. To dispose of these items, call CJDE-Cycling at 618-659-9006 to make an appointment to drop items off for recycling. People may be charged for TV’s.
