Water Bills

The water bills for Alhambra have unfortunately been lost by the St. Louis Postal Service.

The Village clerk stated that there will be no late fees for the month of October.

Call the Village Hall 618-488-3505 to find how much your bill is, or wait until they can either be reissued or added to November charges.

Salem UCC Exhale Turkeyfest

The Exhale youth group at Salem Church will host its annual Turkeyfest Sunday, Nov. 19, following worship from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The cost of the event is $8 for adults and $5 for children from age 4-10 (under 3 years old is free).

Tickets purchased at the door are $10 and $7.

The all-you-can-eat menu is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread and dessert.

Proceeds will go towards Exhale mission trips.

Hitz Home Christmas Tasting Bee

The Tasting Bee will be held Friday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. in the activity/dining room at the Hitz Home.

A variety of meats will be provided, and those attending are asked to bring a dish with their favorite Christmas appetizer, dish or dessert to add to the meal.

The cost of the event is $7 per person and includes a delicious meal, silent auction, music program and raffle prizes.

Prizes include a hand quilted quilt, and raffle tickets include $25 gift certificates to: Aldi, Slots-n-Slices, Big R, Target, Maedge’s Restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, Walmart, Diamond Mineral Springs.

Women’s Guild Selling Pecans

The Salem Women’s Guild is taking orders for pecans.

The cost is $11 a pound and can be either halves or pieces.

Alhambra Primary

School will be dismissed at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The Thanksgiving holiday will be Nov. 22-24

Hitz Apple Butter

Hitz Home still has several pints of their apple butter for sale. The cost of a pint is $7.

Community Club Quilt Tickets

The Community Club will sell quilt tickets at Maedge’s 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16.

This year’s quilt is red, white and blue. The winner will be drawn at the December meeting.
