Aliquippa native, Pitt football star Darrelle Revis named to Pro Football Hall of Fame

Aliquippa native and Pitt football standout Darrelle Revis was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday during the NFL Honors.

Revis retired from the NFL in 2018 after a successful career as a cornerback for the New York Jets.

Revis was a first round pick for the Jets in the 2007 NFL Draft.

According to a news release from Pitt Athletics, Revis is the 10th former Panther to be inducted into the hall of fame.

He joins Jimbo Covert, Mike Ditka, Chris Doleman, Tony Dorsett, Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, Dan Marino, Curtis Martin, and Joe Schmidt.
