Alissa Violet and FaZe Banks Confirm Breakup

"Love that girl to death and always will. I’ll never say a bad word about her."

Alissa Violet and FaZe Banks’s relationship has come to an apparent end.

On July 5, the YouTubers took to Twitter to confirm their breakup after approximately two years of dating. “Alissa and I decided about a month ago that we should take some time apart,” FaZe wrote on Friday evening. “Love that girl to death and always will. I’ll never say a bad word about her. This shits about as hard to deal with as it gets. Please respect our privacy through this. 💔”

The YouTube star added that their split was a “team decision” and not “one-sided” by any means. “Alissa is the most amazing soul I’ve ever come in contact with,” FaZe added. “She deserves love and support. She’ll continue to have mine forever.”

Alissa also tweeted about their breakup, though her message was a tad more concise than FaZe’s. “Single Violet thrives,” she wrote on Friday night.

Fans were quick to jump into the YouTube stars’ mentions to express their dismay about their breakup; one person noted they thought the two celebs might have eventually tied the knot, while another expressed that Alissa and FaZe will always have the support of their followers. And, as one fan put it, “also remember that they’re normal people just like you and they need their privacy. Some people tend to forget that.” A little louder for the folks in the back!

Alissa and FaZe’s breakup comes just shortly after FaZe told Adam “Adam22” Grandmaison that he was once involved with fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau, who is currently engaged to Jake Paul — AKA Alissa’s ex. (Whew, who needs a chart to visualize all of this?) This particular revelation occurred during an episode of Adam22’s podcast, No Jumper. “Wait — did I actually admit to this?” FaZe said during the episode, adding: “The only reason why it’s a big deal is because I’m FaZe Banks and that’s Tana Mongeau. I kept this a secret for three years!”

Not long after FaZe’s confession, fans observed that Alissa unfollowed him on social media, leading many to believe they were fighting about his alleged once-fling with Tana. However, the two eventually clarified those rumors, with FaZe writing: “Lmaooo you guys are insane. Terrible timing for a fight. Guys fights happen. This had 0 to do with the podcast or Tana. You guys are crazy lol.” Alissa concurred, adding: “I love Tana and I knew about everything when we first started dating two years ago. Literally terrible timing.”

From their recent tweets, it seems as though FaZe and Alissa are on amicable terms. As always, the best source of information about their relationship will come from the YouTube stars themselves. In the mean time, it’s a good idea to respect their privacy, just as their fans emphasized.
