A simple gesture from Aliyah Boston and Ashley High alum Saniya Rivers gave a young South Carolina women's basketball fan a memory she won't soon forget.

The Twitter account @hustleandcrow shared a video Thursday night after the Gamecocks' 65-45 win over Texas A&M of a young fan called Zoey congratulating the team as it walked off the floor. Rivers and Boston made sure to acknowledge Zoey as they headed down the tunnel.

As you can see in the video below, Zoey's reaction is priceless. Audible gasps of surprise were the only way to contain her excitement.

As of Saturday afternoon, the tweet had 535 retweets and more than 3,000 likes, with many of the comments emphasizing the value and impact of women's sports on young girls.

It was picked up by ESPN (getting more than 138,000 likes on the sports network's Instagram feed) and it reached the eyes of the South Carolina program, which had Boston, Rivers and head coach Dawn Staley post a message to the family thanking them for coming to the game. Staley specifically wanted to send thanks to Zoey's dad.

No. 1 South Caroline returns to action Sunday on the road against Arkansas.
