Allbirds and the Audubon Society Created Sneakers Inspired by Endangered Birds for Earth Day 2019

Nelly Furtado voice: “I’m like a bird.”

Earth Day is just around the corner, and if you were looking for an adorable, fashion-forward way to show your support for the planet, Allbirds has you covered. The footwear company, which creates pieces from sustainable products and uses recyclable packaging, has unveiled its newest footwear launch, and the designs are inspired by all-things birds.

This week, the company launched five new footwear designs based on endangered birds. Created with the help of the Audubon Society, the new colors of previously released Allbirds sneakers began rolling out on April 15. A new-hued pair will launch each day, until April 19. Each pair retails for $95.

For the line's debut, Allbirds released the Tree Runners, in an olive-green shade inspired by the Painted Redstart; for the second day, Allbirds released Wool Runners in a blue and brown shoe, modeled after the Pygmy Nuthatch.

Future new colors include a deep blue based on the Mountain Bluebird and a dark tan reminiscent of an Allen's Hummingbird.
