Allegheny County Coronavirus Cases Soar, Deaths Increase

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Friday reported four new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 446.

The county reported 239 new cases. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 16,838.

There have been 1,505 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 4,817 cases in Westmoreland County, 2,438 in Beaver County, 2,346 in Washington County and 2,036 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cased to 28,575 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 773 deaths in the region from the virus: Four hundred and forty-six in Allegheny County, 142 in Beaver County, 114 in Westmoreland County, 40 in Washington County and 31 in Butler County.
