Allegheny County Reports No New Coronavirus Fatalities

PITTSBURGH, PA — No new coronavirus deaths occurred in Allegheny County Saturday, the county health department announced on Sunday. The death toll in the county during the outbreak remains at 150.

The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 1,777 up from 1,753 on Saturday and 1,739 on Friday.

Three hundred and eighteen people people have been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak, up from 317 on Saturday and 314 on Friday.

With 552 confirmed cases in Beaver County, 437 in Westmoreland County, 215 in Butler County and 135 in Washington County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county
southwestern Pennsylvania region to 3,116. That's up from 3,082 on Saturday and 3,051 on Friday.

According to the state Department of Health, 277 people have died thus far in the five-county region: One hundred and fifty in Allegheny County, 72 in Beaver County, 38 in Westmoreland County, 12 in Butler County and five in Washington County. That's up fron 276 on Saturday.
