Alliance Elks Lodge 467 has announced its Teenagers of the Month for April. The students are selected by their respective schools based on scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and service to school and community.

Alliance

Isabella Guappone – The daughter of Angie and Vito Guappone has been involved with cheerleading (competition and sideline), a member of the track and field and swim teams. She is a member of National Honor Society, Key Club and Class Council. She plans to attend Ohio State University to major in actuarial science.

Ethan Phillips – The son of Natalie Phillips and Adam Dickey works at Morgan Engineering as a welder and is on the honor roll. He plans to attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics after taking off a year to work.

Louisville

Kenton Smith – The daughter of Jamie and Lisa Smith is president of the band, member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Hope Squad, and president of French Club. She volunteers in Louisville's Special Education Classroom and plans to attend Ohio University to study early childhood education.

Garrett Holleran – The son of Steven and Luann Holleran is president of the choir and plays tennis. He is a member of Academic Challenge, president and student director of Drama Club and a National Merit Scholarship finalist. He plans to study biochemistry in college, with plans to become a radiologist.

Marlington

Koryn Greiner – The daughter of Lisa Stuber and Eric Scott and Chris and Susan Greiner is captain of the varsity sideline and competition cheer teams. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Character Counts, Rotary Interact Club, a Duke Crew leader, and president of Student Council. She also tutors at the elementary schools and plans to attend Kent State University.

Douglas Sanor – The son of Brandon and Cara Sanor is captain of the soccer team. He is a member of National Honor Society, Character Counts, a Duke Crew leader, president of Rotary Interact Club, and treasurer of Student Council, Spanish National Honor Society and Robotics Club. He is a math and science tutor who plans to attend University of Akron to pursue a degree in mathematics.

Minerva

Ava Kocher – The daughter of Jessica and Matt Simms and Scott and Katie Kocher is involved with school plays and musicals. She is a member of National Honor Society, Debate Club, International Circle and Student Council. She plans to attend college to major in forensic chemistry.

Joshua Smith – The son of Brian Smith and Trisha Smith plays soccer and baseball and runs cross country. He is an EBC scholar athlete and an Eagle Scout. He plans to attend college, enroll in Air Force ROTC and major in electrical engineering.

St. Thomas

Kylie Ford – The daughter of Erina and David Ford is captain of the soccer team. She is a member of Academic Challenge and an honors/AP student. She plans to attend college to major in computer science with a focus on cyber security.

Zack Glaser – The son of Shawn and Sara Glaser plays soccer and runs track. He plans to attend college to study business to become a financial aide with goal to own a golf course.

West Branch 

Allison Zion – The daughter of Christopher and Amanda Zion is on the tennis team and in marching, concert, jazz, praise, symphonic and pep bands. She is a member of National Honor Society, Academic Challenge, 4-H, Future Teachers of America while volunteering at school, church and in the community. Allison plans to attend Youngstown State University and major in dental hygiene. She her class’ valedictorian and will be a commencement speaker.

Christian Martig – The son of Crist and Yenere Martig is on the football, basketball, track and tennis teams. He is a member of National Honor Society and 4-H. He plans to attend Ohio State University’s Agricultural Technical Institute to pursue a degree in dairy management while working on his family farm.
