Alliance Elks Lodge 467 has announced its January Teenagers of the Month. The students are selected by their respective schools based on scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship, and service to school and community.

Alliance

Alea Simbro – The daughter of James Simbro and Beth Canfield-Simbro is a member of National Honor Society, Academic Challenge and Fellowship of Christian Aviators. She placed fifth in the state Just Write Competition. Alea plans to attend college and major in creative writing to become a published author.

Kevin Frazier – The son of John and Kim Frazier was a captain of the football team and is a member of Choralaires, Jetsetters, theater and National Honor Society. He plans to attend college and major in sports management.

Louisville

Rebecca Bartsch – The daughter of Carol and Walter Bartsch is secretary of Student Council, vice president of band and a member of Hope Squad. She is a member of an on-campus, student-led prayer group. Bartsch plans to attend Valley Forge University to pursue a degree in vocational Christian ministry.

Austin Beck – The son of Debra Beck and Kevin Beck is on the cross country and tennis teams. He is a member of National Honor Society and was a student representative to Louisville Board of Education. Beck plans to attend Baldwin Wallace University to study digital marketing.

Marlington

Julia Bertrand – The daughter of Rob and Melissa Bertrand is a member of National Honor Society, Robotics Club, Duke Crew and Spanish National Honor Society. Bertrand plans to attend Cedarville University to major in civil engineering with a minor in Bible.

Kamden Tanner – The son of Eric and Ashley Tanner plays soccer. Tanner works with fourth-graders at Lexington Elementary School. He will have an associate of science degree upon his high school graduation and will attend University of Mount Union to pursue a degree in elementary education while continuing to coach with Marlington's soccer programs.

Minerva

Gabriella Romano – The daughter of Chris and Jusana Romano is captain of the volleyball team, and ran track in 10th grade. She is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Yearbook Staff, Pep Club, Youth Leadership and Prom Committee. She is an Aultman ambassador. Romano plans to attend college to study nursing while furthering her athletic career.

Elijah Miller – The son of Matthew Miller plays football and runs track. He is a member of Student Council, Pep Club, International Circle, and was the fall homecoming king. Miller received the Dr. Robert Hines Scholar Athlete award. He plans to attend Kent State University to pursue a degree in exercise science and business.

Sebring

Nevaeh Sanor – The daughter of Megan Kiser is a member of the football and basketball teams. She is in the cosmetology program and was class treasurer as a junior and senior. Sanor plans to obtain her cosmetology license and work in a salon.

Wyatt Sheen – The son of Jeff Sheen and Gabrielle Sheen plays football and baseball. He refereed flag football and was a coach for the all-girls football team. Wyatt plans to attend college to study engineering.

St. Thomas

Ava Dublikar – The daughter of Justin and Danielle Dublikar is captain of the cheerleading squad, and runs track and cross country.  She has been lieutenant governor, webmaster and vice president of Key Club, president of National Honor Society, member of Culture Club and a class representative for three years. Dublikar plans to attend college to study broadcast journalism in the sports broadcasting tract.

Branson Gilyard – The son of Jessica Blake and Gabe Gilyard volunteers at soup kitchens, loves to play basketball and plans to attend college to pursue a degree in finance with a minor in math.

West Branch

Mary Jane Wilson – The daughter of Bill and Shelley Wilson is captain of the cheerleading squad and played tennis for two years. She is a member of National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Educators Rising, Art Club, Pep Club and Yearbook Staff. Wilson plans to attend Bowling Green State University to study dermatology.

Christian Mikol – The son of Tammy Mikol and Chris Mikol is in marching band, show choir and musicals. He is the West Branch Warrior chief. Mikol plans to attend University of Mount Union to study business management and business marketing.
