Alliance service honors veterans

Carnation City-area veterans and their loved ones braved a chilly Saturday morning to mark Veterans Day at Freedom Square in downtown Alliance. The service featured veterans from America’s service branches laying a wreath at the city center. Frank Barnes served as emcee for the program, and Brad Pietzcker of the Veterans Service Commission of Stark County delivered the keynote address. Also part of the program were Alliance Mayor Andy Grove and Pastor Bobby Williams, who provided a benediction.
