The staff at AELS are certified and highly-trained teachers, even the preschool teachers who all hold masters degrees. This is not a common occurrence in many preschools. The students begin at the age of three or four in a classroom setting and learn skills necessary to prepare them for kindergarten.

Students in preschool, kindergarten and first-grade attend Alliance Early Learning School. The students can spend up to four years in the building – two years in preschool, one year in kindergarten and first grade. This is the longest a student will potentially spend in one building until they reach high school.

“This is one of our favorite times of the year at AELS. We get to meet and greet both current and new preschoolers and kindergartners just beginning their educational journeys through Alliance City Schools,” said Holly Power, principal at AELS. “Our goal at AELS is to build a strong foundation for a child academically, while continuing to build and develop both social and emotional skills. The future truly starts here.”

Parents and students can tour the building and meet the teachers during an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2. All prospective and future preschool and kindergarten can attend the free event. Each student registered to attend AELS will leave with a “Flying into AELS” yard sign.

Those unable to register their child online should contact AELS at 330-829-2266. Spots are limited for preschool registration. Students previously registered in preschool at AELS do not have to re-register.
