Upcoming events at Alliance Area Senior Center:

Coffee & Conversation with Mayor Alan Andreani – Alliance’s mayor will stop in at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 24. Enjoy coffee and refreshments while taking part in the conversation. Event is free and open to the public.

Ceramic Snowman Painting Class – 1 p.m.Jan. 25. Class members will create personalized ceramic snowflake snowmen. The folks from Jonesworks will offer instruction to create your own piece. Snowmen are 11 inches tall with a clip-in light. Cost is $45. Call the center at 330-821-3348 to reserve your spot.

Crochet Class – Make a classic chunky crochet cowl while learning a new stitch during the event that runs 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 25. Learn the half double V stitch to make a soft, warm cowl. A sample will be available at the center front desk. Knowledge of basic crochet stitches is helpful. Participants may bring their own 9mm hook or can purchase one for an additional fee of $5. All other supplies and a free pattern are included in the $20 cost. Call the center at 330-821-3348 to register. Class size is limited.

Rivers Casino – Bus departs at 8 a.m. Jan. 31 from Alliance Area Senior Center. Participants will receive $10 in free play. Bus, which will make no other stops, is to return about 5 p.m. Member cost is $34, and non-members will pay $39.
