Families were all smiles during Alliance's Fourth of July festivities at Silver Park. Events started with a food truck event, and a performance from Alliance's own John Hampu Band got toes tapping before fireworks closed out the holiday celebration Monday night. The fireworks returned this year to Silver Park after the COVID-19 pandemic caused a cancelation of events in 2020, and the celebration was based at Alliance Country Club in 2021. Community members and businesses raised the funds to support this year's event as part of the Independence Day Fireworks Council at the Greater Alliance Foundation, a committee created by Alliance Mayor Alan Andreani. The committee was led by members Melissa Gardner and Angi Johnson, and more than 30 donors donated to the effort.
